A 26-year-old man was shot and wounded Friday night in a drive-up shooting in the Mountain View neighborhood.

The gunfire was reported at 10:07 p.m. at 10 35th St., said San Diego Police Sgt. Michael Tansey.

The victim was standing on a sidewalk when a gray sedan pulled up and stopped near him. An unknown male exited the vehicle and fired several times at the victim, Tansey said.

The suspect got back in the vehicle and fled south on 35th Street, toward Durant Street.

The victim was struck in his right arm and abdomen, according to Tansey. He made his way to Gillette Street and Imperial Avenue, where officers found him.

The victim was taken to a hospital by paramedics with non-life- threatening gunshot wounds, Tansey said.

A description of the shooter was not available.
