A 26-year-old woman allegedly caught on surveillance video vandalizing Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Logan Heights has been arrested, according to San Diego police.
Kelly Duggan is suspected of throwing a wooden kneeler through a window that was protecting a religious shrine at the church located at 1770 Kearney Ave. During her alleged vandalism spree, which was captured on video Monday around 1 p.m., Duggan also destroyed several flower vases decorating the shrine, police said.
She fled the scene, but still images taken from the video surveillance were disseminated to patrol officers who caught up with her late Wednesday afternoon in Barrio Logan.
Duggan was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism and booked into county jail.
