Five people were arrested Thursday after investigators with the sheriff’s department served a search warrant on an alleged butane honey oil laboratory in Lakeside.
Jared Turner, 30, Colonel Surratt, 26, Ryan Gallo, 25, Chris Castiglione, 38, and Danelle Willis, 43, were taken into custody following the 6 a.m. search warrant service at 11715 Moreno Ave., sheriff’s officials announced.
Among the booking charges were possession of a controlled substance for sales with a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm/ammunition, operating
a butane honey oil laboratory, simple possession of a controlled substance, under the influence of a controlled substance and child endangerment, according to officials.
Five firearms, over one-and-a-half pounds of suspected methamphetamine, a half-pound of suspected cocaine, drug paraphernalia and cash were seized during the warrant service, officials said.
Due to the dangers associated with a butane honey oil laboratory, the County of San Diego Hazardous Materials Division and City of San Diego’s Hazardous Materials Team were called to the scene, officials said.
There were no injuries reported during the search warrant service.
Butane honey oil labs are used to make concentrated cannabis product.
