San Diego Police fired pepper balls and unleashed a K-9 to subdue a suicidal man in Linda Vista.
Officers responded at approximately 7:30 p.m. Friday to a report of a suicidal man with three knives in the 7400 block of Fulton Street.
After 30 minutes of negotiation, police fired pepper balls and the man began running on Linda Vista Road. A K-9 caught him about five blocks away.
The man was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital.
