Narcotics officers from the San Diego Police Department raided an unlicensed Chula Vista marijuana delivery business this morning, seizing drugs, cash and documents, a lieutenant said.
The 8 a.m. raid was conducted in the 1500 block of Amador Street in Chula Vista, where police allege that 28-year-old Joseph Galindo was operating a service called Cali’s Finest Delivery, San Diego narcotics Lt. Matt Novak said. Galindo was arrested and booked into jail and an employee was arrested and released with a citation, both on suspicion of marijuana sales and operating a business without a license, he said.
“The illegal delivery service, while based in Chula Vista, delivered extensively to customers in San Diego,” Novak said.
A search warrant yielded more than five pounds of high-grade marijuana, edibles and concentrated cannabis, as well as $3,900 in cash and business documents and records, the lieutenant said.
The raid was part of an ongoing campaign by San Diego law enforcement to target illegal marijuana businesses. The industry is tightly regulated, and Novak warned that “all owners and employees” operating unregulated dispensaries and delivery services “will be arrested and prosecuted.”
