A car careened into a repair shop in Chula Vista Saturday, injuring two people.
At about 11 a.m., a woman drove into Eddie’s Tires, Mufflers and Auto Repair Center in the 2600 block of Main Street. For unknown reasons, her car struck two parked cars and a vehicle lift, according to Chula Vista police Lt. Christopher Kelley.
The crash caused a man working one at of the lifts to be struck by a flying piece of equipment.
The driver and the male worker were both taken to a hospital with non- life-threatening injuries, Kelley said.
Officers do not believe drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
