A woman who was reportedly walking on state Route 94 in downtown San Diego was struck and killed Sunday.
The woman, whose identity has not been released, was hit on the westbound side of the highway at the I-5 overcrossing at approximately 9:15 p.m.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to media reports, the driver who hit her stopped and is cooperating with California Highway Patrol officers.
It’s not immediately known what the woman was doing on the highway.
