The thief, described as a heavyset, roughly 6-foot Latino in his 20s or early 30s, entered Adult Depot, 4055 Pacific Highway, with the long-barreled gun in his hands and demanded money about 5:30 a.m. last Thursday, according to San Diego police.
Shortly before 4:30 a.m. Friday, the same bandit carried out a similar armed robbery at a 7-Eleven in the 4900 block of University Avenue, investigators said.
In both cases, the robber was clad in dark-colored pants, white tennis shoes and a black baseball cap, and fled in a dark-colored four-door 2000- to 2006-model Nissan Sentra or similar car with black wheels and a broken driver’s-side window.
During one of heists, he wore a hooded sweat shirt with “GI JOE” printed on the front.
Anyone with information about either robbery was asked to call San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
