A 29-year-old man was killed Saturday when a sedan turned in front of the motorcycle he was riding in the Golden Hill neighborhood of San Diego.

It happened at 1:21 p.m. at 19th Street and Broadway, San Diego Police Officer Robert Heims said.

The motorcyclist was westbound on Broadway and a Toyota Matrix driven by a 26-year-old man eastbound on Broadway made a left turn to go northbound, cutting off the motorcyclist, Heims said.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries, the officer said.

It is not believed drugs or alcohol were involved, he said.
