One person managed to escape with only minor injuries after a crash in which a car went off a cliff in the Jacumba Hot Springs area.
The California Highway Patrol was informed of a car swerving all over the freeway on westbound Interstate 8 near Carrizo Gorge at 12:24 p.m.
About 10 minutes later, it was reported the car had gone off the side of the freeway near the In-Ko-Pah Park Road exit.
Cal Fire San Diego responded, and one person — who was not identified — was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, according to fire department spokesman John Heggie.
