An apparently jaywalking pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Friday evening near a Spring Valley mobile home park.
The woman was taken to a hospital where she died, authorities told reporters at the scene of the accident.
The crash was reported at 8:48 p.m. at 10707 Jamacha Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene, authorities said.
The fatal accident remains under investigation by state and local law enforcement.
