Autopsy results were pending Thursday for two people found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a home in the East County highlands.
Deputies responding to an emergency call found the bodies of the 45-year-old woman and 50-year-old man near a side door of the residence in the 10300 block of Boulder Creek Road in Descanso about 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to sheriff’s officials.
Because the pair had suffered suspicious injuries, homicide detectives took over the investigation. They soon decided that there were no outstanding suspects in the case, Lt. Rich Williams said.
The county Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of the deaths, probably by Friday, the lieutenant said. The decedents’ names were being withheld pending family notification.
