Police said Friday a body was found in a remote wooden area in Temecula that could be tied to a missing person case.
National City investigators said the body was found in an area off Pala Road in Temecula about noon on Thursday. The person has not yet been identified, but investigators said they are following leads related to a missing person investigation in National City.
Officials have not yet determined a cause of death and continue to investigate the case.
