Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in a Spring Valley armed robbery.

The robbery of a 7-Eleven located at 2840 Bancroft Drive took place around 2:15 a.m. Saturday after a man walked into the store armed with a handgun and ordered one of the clerks to open the cash register.

An unknown amount of cash was handed over, along with money from the clerk’s wallet.

The suspect fled on foot and is described as approximately 6’2″ tall and weighing about 180 pounds; his race is unknown.

During the robbery, the suspect was caught on surveillance video wearing a black hoodie or windbreaker with reflective material lining the zippers, black pants, black shoes, gray gloves with black material on the palms and a black face mask.

The black handgun he carried was outfitted with a mounted light, possibly held together with rubber bands.
