A gun-wielding man robbed an Allied Gardens pizzeria Friday afternoon.
The thief, who appeared to be in his late 40s, confronted a cashier at the Little Caesars restaurant in the 5100 block of Waring Road, displayed the weapon and demanded cash about 2:15 p.m., according to San Diego police.
After the victim handed over an undisclosed amount of money, the bandit fled in an unknown direction, Officer Tony Martinez said.
The robber was described as a clean-shaven, heavyset white man wearing a black-and-white-plaid sweater, a gray-and-black hat and black sunglasses.
