The California Highway Patrol Sunday responded to a single-vehicle crash on state Route 78 in San Marcos.
A car was reported at 11:47 a.m. to have overturned on westbound state Route 78 near Twin Oaks Valley Road, according to the CHP.
The crash resulted in the vehicle blocking the left lane of the freeway.
The driver, described only as a man, was the only occupant of the car at the time of the crash, the CHP said. No other vehicles were involved.
The man was helped out of his car by a passing motorist who stopped to help, the CHP said.
It was unclear whether there were any injuries.
Lanes were reopened and officers were no longer at the scene by 12:50 p.m.
