A small brush fire that burned Friday near Sycuan Casino was caused by a solo-vehicle crash that knocked down electrical lines, officials are reporting.

The crash on Dehesa Road, just east of Oak Glen Road, was reported around 5:40 p.m. after a male driving a dark-colored sedan smashed into a power pole, which overturned the car, according to a video reporter on scene.

A small grass fire was sparked, but crews quickly extinguished the blaze that was less than one acre, Cal Fire Capt. Kendal Bortisser told reporters.

The driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene, according to reports.

Dehesa was closed between Sloane Canyon Road and Sycuan Summit Drive as San Diego Gas & Electric crews worked to repair the downed lines. Traffic was delayed for approximately one hour.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
