Firefighters on Wednesday quickly halted the spread of that small brush fire off Old River Road near Little Gopher Canyon Road in Bonsall.
Cal Fire said blaze blackened a roughly two-acre area, but no structures were damaged and there were no injuries.
The blaze in the rural community in northwest San Diego County was reported just after noon and was brought under control shortly after firefighters arrived on the scene.
