A melee involving dozens of people near Hoover High School sent at least two of the combatants to a hospital Monday, authorities reported.
An estimated 60 to 75 people began fighting in the 4200 block of Chamoune Avenue in the Talmadge area for unknown reasons about noon, according to San Diego police.
City police officers helped school law enforcement personnel break up the fracas, SDPD spokesman Billy Hernandez said.
Medics took two minors to an emergency room for treatment of stab wounds. They were in stable condition while being transported, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
