A motorist was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and another was arrested for having a felony warrant at an overnight driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint in Chula Vista, police reported Sunday.
Ten vehicles were impounded and 23 unlicensed or suspended license citations were issued at the checkpoint on North Fourth Avenue that began at 7 p.m. Saturday and ended Sunday at 1 p.m., the Chula Vista Police Department reported.
Officers said 835 vehicles traveled through the checkpoint and 476 of those were screened by police.
