San Diego Sheriff‘s deputies found a wounded man inside a car riddled with bullet holes Saturday afternoon on Jamacha Road in Spring Valley.

Deputies arriving at 5:17 p.m. found the white Ford Focus on the south shoulder facing eastbound and blocking the Gillespie Drive intersection. The vehicle had bullet holes in the passenger side doors, fenders and windows.

The driver was suffering from multiple wounds, but was conscious, and was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital. His injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

Another vehicle in the vicinity was reportedly also hit by gunfire.

Deputies are investigating the incident as a possible car-to-car shooting. Anyone with information can call San Diego Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
