Border Patrol agents patrolling the Interstate 15 corridor seized $800,000 worth of narcotics from a Ford Focus driven by a 39-year-old woman, the law-enforcement agency reported Tuesday.
The vehicle was stopped Friday near Temecula and a drug-sniffing dog alerted agents to the drugs, which were located in 58 bundles distributed throughout the car.
Agents confiscated 47 pounds of methamphetamine, 11 pounds of black tar heroin and 40 pounds of cocaine.
The woman, an American citizen, was arrested and turned over to state authorities. The vehicle was seized by the U.S. Border Patrol.
