A man who allegedly stole from a Cricket Wireless store in San Ysidro and threatened an employee there with violence is being sought by police.
The suspect attempted to buy a cell phone Thursday from the store located in the 600 block of E. San Ysidro, but his credit card was declined, according to a report from the San Diego Police Department.
After a store employee told him the card was declined, the man put speakers in a bag he was carrying and started walking toward the door, the report continued.
When the employee asked him to stop, the man turned around, raised a PVC pipe he was using as a cane, and threatened the employee if he called police, according to the report.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, around 26 years old, with light skin, a thin build and about 6′ tall. He had tattoos on both arms and was wearing a gray shirt, black pants and a black hat.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Diego Police Department.
