An armed woman was arrested at the end of an hours-long SWAT standoff after she fired a gun inside her home early Saturday morning, according to the SDPD Watch Commander.

The woman called police at around 2 a.m. and claimed a man who lives with her is a terrorist. She started threatening to harm the man. It happened on the 300 block of Thrush Street in the Valencia Park neighborhood of San Diego.

While speaking on the phone with police, the woman admitted to shooting her gun inside the house. Once SDPD officers arrived at the scene, she started acting uncooperative and rambled about having a gun.

The man left the house, but the woman refused to come outside, said police. Because the woman was armed and had been shooting, police requested a SWAT team.

An hours-long SWAT standoff ensued, lasting about four hours before the woman surrendered and was taken into custody, said police.

The woman was later identified as 44-year-old Allison Jarman. She was arrested and booked into jail for the negligent discharge of a weapon, according to police.

No further information was immediately available. Anyone who knows details about this incident can call San Diego Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
