A motorist in a pickup truck was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 805 in Chula Vista, authorities said Wednesday.
The crash in the southbound lanes near Main Street was reported around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white pickup truck was seen swerving between traffic lanes and then struck a tree on the roadside.
The crash prompted authorities to close the Main Street on-ramp.
The victim’s name was not immediately released, and the crash remains under investigation.
