A brawny thief robbed a Marina-area bank of downtown San Diego this Friday afternoon, police said.
The bandit, a muscular man who appeared to be in his 30s or early 40s, confronted a teller at the City National Bank branch office in the 500 block of West Broadway and demanded cash at about 1:45 p.m., according to San Diego police.
After the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of money, the robber walked out of the bank and fled to the north on Kettner Boulevard. He was described as a roughly 5-foot-9-inch, 200-pound Latino wearing black shorts and a buttoned-up polo shirt, Officer Tony Martinez said.
