It took firefighters about 15 minutes Tuesday to extinguish a blaze that damaged a Rancho Peñasquitos condominium.
Flames began spreading through the residence in the 11000 block of Via Asti shortly after noon, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
Initial reports indicated that the blaze originated in or around the gas tank of a vehicle parked in a ground-floor garage underneath the living quarters of the condo, which also sustained some damage, said city spokesman Jose Ysea.
No injuries were reported.
