San Diego Police sought Monday a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian with serious injuries in Clairemont.
The 36-year-old victim was hit by a black Honda sedan that turned onto Genesee Avenue while she was walking in the crosswalk at the intersection with Mt. Etna Drive shortly after 8 p.m Sunday, San Diego Police Officer John Buttle said.
The driver initially stopped and got out to check on the victim, but hopped back in the car and sped off.
Police described the driver as a heavyset white man in his 40s with blond hair. He was wearing a light blue or gray shirt and gray cargo shorts.
