A swimmer suffered severe arm injuries Saturday in an apparent shark attack off San Onofre State Beach.
Camp Pendleton Fire and Police responded at 6:30 p.m. to a woman reportedly attacked by a shark.
The woman, a civilian, was airlifted to Scripps Memorial Hospital in San Diego by Mercy Air.
Access to the scene was limited and additional information was not immediately available to the media.
