A 58-year-old woman hiking on the cliffs above Black’s Beach in La Jolla fell and injured her ankle, and was rescued Sunday, according to San Diego Lifeguards.
Firefighters, paramedics and lifeguards were dispatched at 1:30 p.m. to the area near the 9700 block of La Jolla Farms Road near Black Gold Road, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue spokeswoman Monica Munoz.

The woman was lowered to the beach in a basket and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital. She had become stuck about 100 feet up from the beach.
No one else was injured in the rescue. The woman’s name was not released.
