A few suspects, one of them armed, robbed a restaurant early Sunday in the Grantville community of San Diego.

Two men walked into the Sombrero Mexican Food Restaurant, located on the 6100 block of Mission Gorge Road, at about 2:50 a.m. with hoodies covering their faces, said SDPD Officer Robert Heims.

They walked behind the counter and one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the employee, demanding that he open the register, Heims said.

The employee handed over some cash and the suspect ran westbound on Vandever Avenue, he said. The first suspect was described as a clean-shaven 5-foot, 8-inch tall Latino man in his 20s with a medium build, weighing 160 pounds and last seen wearing a light-colored, gray hoodie.

The second suspect was described as dark-skinned 5-foot, 8-inch tall Latino man in his 20s who was wearing a dark hoodie.
