A pedestrian who was apparently jaywalking was struck by a car and killed Friday night in Vista.
The victim was struck about 7:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of Santa Fe Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim, reported by ABC10 to be a man who was jaywalking, died at the scene.
The car that struck him stopped at the scene, a CHP officer said.
The accident remains under investigation by state and local authorities.
