The driver of a white Toyota Highlander over shot a parking space at an Escondido Chick-fil-A restaurant Wednesday night that required police and fire on scene.
Authorities were called to the 1290 Auto Park Way eatery around 7:15 p.m. after the SUV crashed and began teetering on a retaining wall.
According to an OnSceneTV videographer who filmed the incident, the vehicle had to be stabilized so the driver and passenger could be safely extricated.
Both people were transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
It is unclear if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the mishap.
