A contractor was sentenced Thursday to serve two years’ probation for surreptitiously videotaping women as they used a restroom at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

Kory Nathan Brower, 31, a contractor working at the base, pleaded guilty to two counts of video voyeurism, admitting to capturing images of women’s unclothed private parts in the base lavatory between July and November 2015.

Brower conceded that he recorded the victims under circumstances in which they had a legitimate expectation of privacy.

During Brower’s sentencing hearing in San Diego, U.S. Magistrate Judge William Gallo said the defendant had stolen the women’s “sanctity” and expressed hope that they would recover from the trauma of the offenses and successfully move on with their lives.
