Two women who allegedly swindled a Vista 7-Eleven store are being sought by police, and photos of the suspects are now being distributed.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has released video surveillance images of the two women who around 1 p.m. on Dec. 14 walked into the 7-Eleven located at 1595 East Vista Way to buy four $500 money orders.

According to a sheriff’s report, they gave the store clerk $2,000 for the purchase. The clerk took the money, set it on the counter, and began processing the money orders, the report continued.

During that time, one of the suspects took $1,000 back from the stack of money without the clerk noticing. Both women left the store with $1,000 in cash and $2,000 worth of money orders, according to the report.

One of the women is described in the sheriff’s report as a “45-year-old Middle Eastern woman with black hair in a ponytail. She stands about 5’1″ tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black sweater, a black and gray blouse and a gray skirt. She had a tan and black purse and a white rectangular wallet.”

The report described the other woman “as a Middle Eastern woman with red hair pulled back into a ponytail. She stands 5’2”tall and weighs about 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red and black flannel shirt, light blue jeans and black and white Converse shoes.”

Police suspect the 45-year-old woman is the one who swindled the store clerk.
