A paraglider who crash landed in a family’s backyard in the Rancho Peñasquitos neighborhood Sunday was not hurt, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The paraglider crash landed in the yard at about noon on the 15200 block of Black Mountain Road. A person hiking south of Maler Road called police after witnessing the crash, police said. Police quickly dispatched a helicopter to find the crashed paraglider, who was soon spotted in the backyard.

The paraglider, who authorities have not yet publicly identified, is not facing any charges related to the accident, police said. Police say he was not injured, despite losing control and crash landing into a resident’s yard.
