An El Cajon police officer was struck by a Jeep Thursday night on N. 2nd Street and the driver fled the scene, NBC7 is reporting.
The officer, from the El Cajon Police Department, suffered minor injuries during the incident that occurred near a Party City store located at 160 N. 2nd Street, according to NBC7.
Police are searching for the driver, believed to be in his 20s, wearing a black shirt and pajama pants, and driving a blue Jeep, NBC7 reported. The suspect was last seen driving northbound on N. 2nd Street.
