A 22-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he crashed his motorcycle into a Jeep in Sorrento Valley, police said Saturday.
The man was hospitalized with non life-threatening fractures he sustained from the crash, which occurred at 5:10 p.m. Friday in the 8400 block of Camino Santa Fe, according to San Diego Police Sgt. Michael Tansey.
He was riding on a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle in the southbound No. 1 lane of Camino Santa Fe approaching Rasha Street when he collided with the driver side of a Jeep Liberty that had entered the intersection to make a left turn, Tansey said.
The driver of the Jeep, an 18-year-old man, did not see the approaching motorcyclist, Tansey said.
The motorcyclist was transported by paramedics to Scripp’s Memorial Hospital in La Jolla for treatment of a fractured left wrist and a fractured left femur.
Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors and the driver of the Jeep was cooperating with the investigation.
