Police raided and closed down an allegedly illegal Barrio Logan marijuana dispensary Wednesday, confiscating various forms of the drug and citing several employees, authorities reported.

The narcotics-unit personnel served a search warrant at Kush Mart, 1915 Una St., at about 7 a.m., said police Lt. Matt Novak.

The officers impounded roughly three pounds of cannabis, edible confections containing the drug and concentrated marijuana products, along with about $25,000 in cash and transaction records, the lieutenant said.

Two workers were ticketed for allegedly operating an illegal business.

“This investigation is ongoing, and further charges against other individuals associated with the business are possible,” Novak said.

The raid was part of an ongoing crackdown on all illicit marijuana dispensaries in the city, according to police.

Eight legal cannabis dispensaries are in operation in San Diego, and seven others have been approved but have yet to open to the public.
