San Diego Gas & Electric Thursday reported that power has been restored for hundreds of customers in several Chula Vista-area communities. However, roughly a dozen Imperial Beach customers were without power, which should be restored by 1:30 p.m., the utility said.
According to the SDG&E website, power was restored for 636 customers in Castle Park, Chula Vista, Eastlake, Otay, Otay Reservoir and Rancho Del Ray.
The outages were reported shortly before 10 a.m. The utility said a “combination of factors” led to a power outage for the Chula Vista area, but did not give a reason for the Imperial Beach outage.
