Firefighters are mopping up Thursday after stopping a blaze that torched three acres near Dixon Lake, a Cal Fire spokesman said.

An investigation is underway to find out what started the fire, Cal Fire Capt. Isaac Sanchez said.

Sanchez said a crew will remain on scene for another two to three hours to clean up.

The fire, which started off La Honda Road, was first reported at 2:40 p.m., leading to the road being closed.
