A 31-year-old man was fatally stabbed in his chest early Monday morning in Clairemont.

Ronald Brandon Labastida of San Diego was found mortally wounded inside a home in the 5200 block of Channing Street near Limerick Avenue around 12:45 a.m., according to San Diego Police Lt. Ray Valentin.

Officers began life-saving measures and victim was then taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, Valentin said.

No suspect information was immediately available. The homicide investigation is continuing.
