A luxury sedan struck and killed a 67-year-old woman Thursday on a street near Padre Dam Park.
The pedestrian was crossing the 10500 block of Mission Gorge Road in Santee when a westbound 2006 Cadillac CTS driven by an 82-year-old woman hit her about 9:30 a.m., according to sheriff’s officials.
Medics took the victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego, where she was pronounced dead, Lt. Anthony O’Boyle said. Her name was withheld pending family notification.
No other injuries were reported.
It was not immediately clear who was at fault for the accident.
