
A man jumped from the Coronado Bridge Tuesday evening and died, the California Highway Patrol reported
CHP officers responded to the bridge about 6:10 p.m. to investigate a report of a possible jumper and found a car stopped mid-span.
The body was subsequently recovered from the bay, according to CHP Officer Mary Bailey.
The man’s name and age were not immediately available, she said.
San Diego and Coronaodo officials are eyeing ways to make the bridge safer following the death of four people when a pickup plunged from the bridge in a park below.
