A stabbing in City Heights sent a man to a hospital late Tuesday afternoon.
The assault in the 3600 block of 42nd Street was reported shortly before 5:30 p.m., according to San Diego Police.
Patrol personnel found the victim suffering from 10 to 15 stab wounds, Sgt. Michael Tansey said. Medics took the man to a trauma center, where he was admitted in undetermined condition.
The assailant, who remained at large in the early evening, was described as a roughly 6-foot Latino in his 20s with a goatee and acne scars. He was wearing checkered shorts and a black shirt, Tansey said.
It was unclear what led to the assault.
