A motorcycle crash on Interstate 805 snarled traffic near Clairemont Mesa during the Tuesday morning commute.
A motorcyclist crashed around 7:10 a.m. on the northbound freeway approaching Balboa Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. Authorities said the downed bike was blocking one northbound lane.
CHP officials said they were unable to move the motorcyclist from the freeway due to a possible spinal injury. An ambulance was sent to the scene.
