San Diego police officers investigating a report of shots fired in the East Village early Tuesday found several shell casings, but no victims or suspects.
Someone who heard gunshots in the vicinity of 15th and Market streets called police shortly before 3 a.m., San Diego Police Officer Dan Lasher said.
A videographer at the scene reported that traces of blood were found near the shell casings.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, Lasher said.
