A 25-year-old man was stabbed in the chest after an argument with a group of people in Mission Bay Park on Saturday evening, according to police.
At about 11:47 p.m., San Diego Police officers reported a verbal argument on the 1700 block of East Mission Bay Dr. near Fiesta Island. The victim was stabbed in the right side of his body, just below his chest.
The suspect, described as a chubby Hispanic man, was last seen running north on East Mission Bay Dr. Police said the victim was taken to the hospital with injuries that did not appear to be fatal.
