A cook at a Miramar diner was stabbed early Tuesday as he slept in his car in the eatery’s parking lot.
A motive for the attack outside a Denny’s restaurant on Miramar Road near Commerce Avenue around 4:45 a.m. was not immediately clear, but a suspect was later taken into custody, San Diego police Officer Luis Roman said. The suspect’s name was not immediately available.
The victim was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and underwent surgery for non-life-threatening wounds, Roman said.
