A Lincoln Park man who was being beaten in his home by a group of attackers early this Sunday morning slashed one of his assailants with a knife, sending him to the hospital, according to San Diego police.
The attack in the 4700 block of Solola Avenue happened shortly before 1 a.m., when a 30-year-old man and his girlfriend heard knocks on their door by the girlfriend’s nephew, according to Officer Robert Heims.
The nephew allegedly threatened to kill his aunt’s boyfriend, broke into the house, let about five to 10 of his friends in as well and began attacking the man. That’s when the victim got a hold of a knife and began slashing at the group in self defense, sending the nephew to the hospital with non-life threatening stab wounds, Heims said.
No other information was released regarding possible injuries to others in the fight or the identities of those involved.
